The Project Title: “Mechanisms of the formation and degradation of thrombus. The diagnostics of the disturbances of the blood coagulation and fibrinolysis systems”.

 

The aim of the project: The study of the interactions of the components of blood coagulation and fibrinolysis systems with endothelium and platelets; the investigation of the mechanisms of the formation and degradation of thrombus; the development of the methods for the diagnostics of the blood coagulation and fibrinolysis system disturbances. 

 

 

The Project Title: “The production of ELISA test-systems for quantification of soluble fibrin and D-dimer for the diagnostics of the blood coagulation system state at cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus”.  

 

The aim of the project: Two ELISA test-systems have been designed at Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the NAS of Ukraine for soluble fibrin and D-dimer quantification in human blood plasma. These test-systems were designed on the base of fibrin-specific and D-dimer-specific monoclonal antibodies obtained at Palladin Institute of Biochemistry. The quantification of soluble fibrin and D-dimer concentrations permits to diagnose the threat of thrombus formation at cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and after surgical operations, to diagnose pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis, as well as to monitor the treatment of these pathological states. At present JSC “Diaproph Med” has been introducing these test-systems designed into industry. There are no immunotest-systems for soluble fibrin and D-dimer quantification in Ukraine and in the countries of former USSR.  

    

The Project Title: “The design of immunosensor devices developed on the base of surface plasmon resonance for medicine and veterinary”. 

The aim of the project: The design of  immunosensor devices developed on the base of surface plasmon resonance and diffractive structures for the quantification of fibrinogen, soluble fibrin and D-dimer.

 

 

The Project Title: “The development of antithrombotic preparations that block fibrin polymerization sites”. 

 

The aim of the project: The search of low-molecular inhibitors of fibrin polymerization that block the sites of fibrin intermolecular interactions and prevent the formation of fibrin three-dimensional network – the framework of blood thrombus.
