TO: FEBS Constituent Societies
A message from the FEBS Congress Counsellor:
As you know, the 46th FEBS Congress is a joint event this summer with IUBMB and PABMB, hosted by the Portuguese Biochemical Society. We see it as a special opportunity for gathering together in person again after a difficult couple of years, to hear, discuss and celebrate science and enjoy the company of our fellow researchers.
The big deadline in the run up to the event – 10th March 2022 – is rapidly approaching, and I therefore ask you to please encourage your members to register and submit their abstracts to the Congress by 10th March to take advantage of:
- inclusion of accepted abstracts in a FEBS Open Bio Congress supplement
- consideration of submitted abstracts for many available short talk slots
- the early registration fee level
- if an early-career researcher, the possibility of applying for a FEBS Congress bursary
Note that FEBS Congress bursaries not only cover the registration fee but also make a contribution to travel and accommodation costs – and these bursaries are available only for members of your Societies.
All details can be found on the Congress website: https://2022congress.febs-iubmb-pabmb.org/
Thank you for your help in explaining the opportunities and the approaching deadline to your members. The Portuguese Biochemical Society is working hard to make the event a great success, and I hope to see you and many from your Societies in Lisbon!
Prof. Miguel A. De la Rosa, FEBS Congress Counsellor
